DMARC Report Format Tag (rf tag)

This report format (rf) tag is an optional DMARC tag that references the format for message-specific failure reports received. The default is “Authentication Failure Reporting Format” (afrf), which is the only value currently supported. A mail receiver seeing a different value should ignore it or disregard the entire DMARC record.

Moreover, the value of this tag to the domain owner is the ability to specify the type of XML report that is received. The report is then sent to said domain owner, relaying details of the individual failure.
