Mail to yahoo.com addresses remain in Exchange 2003 output queue

I was infected with the Cutwail Bot.  It is now removed.  I was blacklisted.  This has been taken care of.

All mail now flows correctly except for mail going to yahoo.com address.  They remain in my Exchange 2003 output queue.  The only info in the "additional queue information" is "an SMTP protocol error occurred"

Does Yahoo have its own blacklist?  If so, how can I be removed from it?  It not, what can I do to resolve this issue?

Unfortunately I do not know if Yahoo has a blacklist, I did some searching on the Yahoo website though and found some valuable information:

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/postmaster/postmaster-01.html
    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/postmaster/postmaster-277515.html
    http://docs.yahoo.com/info/guidelines/spam.html

If you are a small to medium size business and are running a mail server, you need to work on securing your network as you can see from being infected by the Cutwail Bot. Viruses or Trojans like this can lead to your IP showing up on an RBL and that effects mail coming from your mail server. Configuring an outbound firewall for port 25 with an exception for your mail server is also highly advisable.

MXToolBox has professional services available for Small and Medium Sized businesses which can eliminate these problems permanently. For more information on those services please fill out a form on our web page or call our number and a blacklist specialist would be happy to tell you more.

    Thank you,
    Wendy
