"Error 550 550 Address generates Mail loop (state 14) Possible "Greylisting"????

Our domain and email server can send and receive emails from only within our domain.
We can send emails to external email services successfully.
We can in instances receive emails sent back to our domain by way of reply from external internet email services.
In pretty much every instance, when someone from outside our domain sends an email to anyone in our domain, it bounces back with an error that the email was rejected due to a "mail loop state 14".(from Gmail) or, address generates mail loop [RCPT_TO] (from Yahoo).
I've checked my MXToolbox for blacklists. None found. I've run dns reports from dnscolos.com. These reports fail the Mail server connection test
HELO, MAIL FROM, RCPT TO, QUIT with this information:
Connect to mailserver mx00.1and1.com   FAILED (could be greylisting)
Connect to mailserver mx01.1and1.com   FAILED (could be greylisting)
1and1 is our host site but our mail server is local. The dns check from 1and 1 shows the MX record of exchange.odysseycharter.org, 10...as it should be.
If you can offer any help, or a thread to pull on, it would greatly, greatly be appreciated.
Feel free to Cc any email to my secondary: foxisms@gmail.com
    Thank you.

I sent a message to your gmail account for more information. The Mail Loop problem is going to be completely independent from anything to do with blacklists. I have a gut feeling it's probably DNS related, but it could be a configuration problem. It means that mail is trying to route in a circle. If server A is configured to hand mail to server B and server B is configured to hand mail to server A, then you have a mail loop. Additional information will help clear the air.

    Zach,

We exchanged emails on this previously. If you'd like to continue that conversation, please let me know. Your new MX records look okay, but I am unable to connect to the IP listed for your Exchange server. Something is definitely not configured correctly.
